A TWIST IN CHICKEN LOLLIPOP
An Indian appetizer with a small twist ;)
Yields: 4 pieces
Ready In: 2 hrs and 30 mins
INGREDIENTS:
★ For Marinade:
- Chicken 04 Pieces, washed and cleaned
- 01 Egg
- 03 and 1/4 tsp Cornflour
- 02 pinch Chicken stock pwd
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Ginger and garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
- A small bunch Coriander, chopped
- 01 green chili
- 1 and 1/2 tbsp Red Chili pwd (or as per your taste)
- a small pinch of red coloring
- 1/4 tsp turmeric pwd
- Oil for frying
- 03 tbsp Oil
- 1 big Onion, chopped
- 1/4 tsp Ginger and Garlic paste
- 01 tbsp Red chili pwd
- 1/4 cup Tomato Ketchup
- 03 tbsp Chili Sauce
- 01 tbsp Soy Sauce
- Salt to Taste
- 02 pinch Chicken stock pwd
- 1/2 tsp Pepper pwd
- Small bunch of chopped Coriander
- Water as required
- 04 tsp cornflour
- Spring Onions for garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Take chicken pieces and put slashes on them on both sides.
- In a bowl add all the ingredients under "For Marination'' except for oil and mix well & marinade the chicken pieces for 2-3 hrs.
- Heat oil in a pan, deep fry the marinaded chicken pieces for around 5-7 mins or until they are golden color.( Make sure to give a quick mix before putting them in oil). Set aside
- Heat 03 tbsp oil in another pan, add onions, ginger and garlic paste, green chili, chili pwd, salt and saute it until the onions turn translucent.
- Add in the tomato ketchup, chili sauce, soy sauce, chicken stock pwd, pepper pwd,and mix well.
- Add chopped Coriander and pour water to give a thick consistency like a sauce. Mix in corn flour and combine.
- Finally add the fried chicken pieces and give it a mix until all pieces are coated, garnish with extra chopped Coriander leaves and spring Onions.
- You can have them with Lachcha Parathas. Serve Hot.
