LACHCHA PARATHAS

Why make the same flat bread over and over again when you can try different types ? Make this recipe and comment how it turned out.

INGREDIENTS:

  •  02 cups All purpose flour + some for dusting
  • Baking Soda a pinch
  • 01 tsp Sugar
  • 02 tbsp Oil
  • 01 tsp Salt
  • Luke Warm water to knead
  • 2-3 tbsp Oil 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine together all purpose flour, sugar and baking soda in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp oil and mix well.
  2. Combine salt to water and add this little by little to the flour mixture until you knead into a smooth dough. Keep it aside covered for an hour.
  3. Make around 5 balls (pic 1), take a ball dust it with flour and roll out as thin as possible.Spread oil all over in one side and make pleats as seen in the pic (pic 2).
  4. Make a roll out of the pleated dough and bring the end to the center as in pic (pic 3). Repeat these steps with the remaining dough. Keep covered and let it rest for 10 mins.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan.Take one of the pleated and rolled dough, roll it out to make parathas , put it in the pan and cook on both sides till crispy. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  6. Take it off the pan, crush it lightly from the edges with your palms to make layers. Serve hot with  My Twist in Chicken Lollipop or any curry of your desire.
