FISH CUTLETS

Ramazan special😄
Fish Cutlets are widely made in every Muslim house-hold & are very easy to make.

Makes-23 cutlets
Ready In- 20 mins

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500 gm Potatoes,boiled
  • 01 Green chili, chopped
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • 03 Big Onions,chopped
  • 02 tsp Salt
  • 01 tsp Pepper pwd / as per your liking
  • 1/2 Salmon Tin, 
  • a pinch of Chili flakes
  • 01 tsp Cumin Pwd
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric pwd
  • 02 Eggs
  • 02 tbsp all purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Lime Juice
  • Breadcrumbs for coating
  • Oil for frying + 01 tbsp for Tempering

DIRECTIONS:


  1. Smash potatoes in a bowl, add 01 tsp salt, pepper pwd,Salmon and mix well.
  2. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp oil,over medium heat and add the onions,chili,curry leaves and Saute a little. (do not fry too much)
  3. Then add 01 tsp salt, chili flakes and give it a mix. 
  4. Next, add the cumin pwd,Turmeric pwd and mix well. Switch off  flame.
  5. Add the tempered onion mixture to the potatoes mixture,squeeze lime juice and combine well.
  6. Make Medium size balls out of it and set aside.
  7. In a separate bowl,Beat eggs, flour,a pinch of salt and pepper.
  8. In another plate make the breadcrumbs ready.
  9. Dip the cutlets in egg mixture then breadcrumbs, egg again and bread crumbs.( Double coat it)
  10. Fry until golden, Drain in kitchen paper , Serve Hot with Tomato Sauce.
NOTES-
⇒ If you run out of egg mixture You can mix 01 tbsp flour, a pinch of salt & pepper, a little bit of water and use it as an alternative.
⇒ You Can make the cutlets up to step 09 and store it in the freezer up to 4-5 days. When your about to fry make sure you DE-freeze them some mins before frying.
